GIVE IN TO LOVE

It seems a common theme that everyone wants love but rarely they give in to it and keep a shield. To experience love you have to give in yourself and lose your shield , limitations … This quote that I heard from the movie Queen Victoria and Abdul I heard this beautiful poem from Rumi about us being drops and giving in to the ocean

Rumi

“Listen, O drop, give yourself up without regret,
and in exchange gain the Ocean.
Listen, O drop, bestow upon yourself this honor,
and in the arms of the Sea be secure.
Who indeed should be so fortunate?
An Ocean wooing a drop!
In God’s name, in God’s name, sell and buy at once!
Give a drop, and take this Sea full of pearls.”

STRESS

August 9 2018

May I not forget GOD and that he is with me. Sometimes with the world , the media, the materialistic, the clothes, money , work…. to do´s one forgets what is important and the it all comes from GOD and goes to GOD and he is LOVE , he is always here for us and we are never alone he wants our happiness and goodness and some things that we worry about just DONT matter. We live in a life beyond what our ancestors dreamed of, with food at a hands reach, water, electricity to light us at night, shelter beyond any comfort that kings used to have and we yet complain about how our yoghurt is not the right flavor, or how the laundry service is slow or that we have to wash dishes… We have to acknowledge that we are truly fortunate and to let ourselves be caught in trivial stresses of the modern day world it is not worth it .

Shit Happens

Yes, shit happens, things that are not what you wanted happen and … the only option is to move on . There is no other way, accept it and continue if you dwell in the why me , why etc etc you will just get stuck and continue bathing in that …

Death

“here is no place on earth where death cannot find us—even if we constantly twist our heads about in all directions as in a dubious and suspect land . . . If there were any way of sheltering from death’s blows—I am not the man to recoil from it . . . But it is madness to think that you can succeed . . .

Men come and they go and they trot and they dance, and never a word about death. All well and good. Yet when death does come—to them, their wives, their children, their friends—catching them unawares and unprepared, then what storms of passion overwhelm them, what cries, what fury, what despair! . . .

To begin depriving death of its greatest advantage over us, let us adopt a way l contrary to that common one; let us deprive death of its strangeness, let us frequent it, let us get used to it; let us have nothing more often in mind than death . . . We do not know where death awaits us: so let us wait for it everywhere. To practice death is to practice freedom. A man who has learned how to die has unlearned how to be a slave.

YOGA has scientific proven results

Ok, so I have been praticing yoga for over 10 years now and I am a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor but I do still feel like a beginner and feel that I  have a lot to learn. That is one of the beauties of  the realm of yoga , you can always go deeper and deeper.

Recently I became interested in the Hatha, ashtanga practice because while I was doing Kundalini which is mostly seating and meditation I also ran and did heavy cardio work but I injured my foot with plantar fascitis so I cant do it anymore…

So I discovered ashtanga which incorporates heavy physical work  in a moving meditation and I am loving how instense it is and how concentrated you have to be in order to hold the poses! Talk about being in the present moment!

Also it has helped me be more stable in meditation because the physical asanas of yogas are meant to prepare our body for meditation ( not for a beautiful handstand photo for instagram )  . All types of yoga help the channels ( nadis, meridians) flow correctly so our energy and brain signals do not get interrupted and we can function at our 100% in life.  Because our body is the only permanent  possesion we have  in this life. So we have to take care of it .

The thing is that with the myriad of yoga styles there is out there one can get confused but the thing is to chose the one that calls to you  at the moment of your life , just to have 60-90 mins ( typical duration of yoga classes) of consciouss movement and breath will change your life. Do it try it , do not take my word but experiment it yourself.

That could be kundalini, ashtanga, hatha, javamukti … they all work wonders

Walk like a royal speak like a sage

I love this quote from my yoga teacher Tej because it exemplifies how we have to be royal ourselves, respect our words and actions in order for others to do so. We first have to give the royalty ourselves and then we will be respected as well .   Never in the egotistical way but like a sage always speaking our truth from the heart.

If what you have to say is not truth, good or necessary it is better to remain in silence. Every word we say adds to the tides of action and reaction ( karma) of the world , it has an effect on the energy of the room or how a persons reacts towards you .

Food for thought…
